Plans to lay cross-border optic fiber cable system between Pakistan and China
The government has decided to launch 14 major new projects in the field of information technology. A cross-border optic fiber cable system will be laid between China and Pakistan in the next financial year.According to the document, the federal government has decided to lay a cross-border optic fiber cable system between China and Pakistan in the next financial year. Under the second phase of C-Pack, a cable will be laid between the two countries.
The move will provide an alternative route for international internet connectivity in the country. In addition, Pakistan Space Center and Multi-Mission Satellite projects will be launched in the next financial year.
According to the document, there is also a plan to start work on a trial basis for the digital agriculture ecosystem during the next financial year. The Ministry of IT Pakistan will launch a feasibility study for the Second Optic Remote Sensing Satellite project.
A center for cooperation with China in the field of artificial intelligence will also be set up.
